German Conquest of the West

—	The German Army invaded Denmark on April 9, 1940, and occupied the country within 24 hours.

—	Norway was invaded on April 9, 1940, and its conquest was completed two months later.

—	Germany invaded the Netherlands on May 10, 1940, and overwhelmed its armed forces within a week.

—	Belgium was invaded on May 10, 1940, and its army surrendered after 18 days of resistance.

—	Luxembourg was invaded and occupied on May 10, 1940.

—	German troops invaded France on May 12, 1940, and entered Paris on June 14.  A Franco-German armistice was signed on June 26, 1940.
